Relationship Issues

In addition to my lived experience, I am a good-standing member of the Wounded Warrior Clinician Directory listing healthcare providers who have completed occupational awareness training to support emergency personnel in their mental health.

Common Challenges

Communication Problems: misunderstandings, lack of open dialogue, avoidance of difficult conversations

  • Trust Issues: betrayal, jealousy, past trauma

  • Emotional Disconnect: lack of intimacy, growing apart, unresolved conflicts

  • Differing Expectations: lifestyle differences, unmet needs, incompatibility

  • Stress and External Pressures: work stress, family interference, life transitions

  • Behavioural Issues: control and manipulation, passive aggressiveness, dependency

  • Conflict Resolution: frequent arguments, ineffective problem-solving, power struggles

Our Work Together

The constant exposure to high-stakes situations and the need to remain composed under pressure can take a toll on our sense of resiliency and detract from our quality of life and relationships. My goal is to provide a safe, confidential, and understanding space where first responders can address the mental and emotional challenges that are facing them on the job and in their personal lives.

In our work we might aim to:

  • Improve emotional regulation

  • Address relational concerns

  • Process traumatic experiences

  • Build on your existing resilience
